Glen Helen Rehabilitation Center

Glen Helen Rehabilitation Center is located in the hills of San Bernardino County not far from California State University San Bernardino. The facility serves as a jail for inmates who are awaiting trial and for those who have been sentenced to county jail after a criminal conviction. The facility houses both men and women inmates and has more rehabilitation options than county jail that merely house inmates.

Rehabilitation services at Glen Helen Rehabilitation include: Academic teachers, counselors, chaplains, vocational classes, fire camp, and more. These rehabilitation options help the convicted inmate reinteggrate into society upon release.

Work Release: Glen Helen Rehabilitation Center serves as the county’s check-in center for defendants who have been sentenced to work release or house arrest. Also, convicted inmates who are serving an actual jail sentence at the facility might be able to move to an out-of-custody GPS-monitored work release option.

Important: Defendants who have signed up to perform work release after a criminal conviction must bring his or her commitment paperwork that he or she received from the court or the defendant may be turned away from the facility. Also, the facility processes many work release sentences and the defendant should show up early so as not to be turned away for tardiness.
